Dr. Cary-Thompson earned her undergraduate degree from Lafayette College where she made the Dean’s List and graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine where she received an award from the Pediatrics department, and was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for being a role model of the human connection in healthcare.
From there, Dr. Cary-Thompson completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta. Since completing her training, she has become board certified in General Pediatrics, and practices as a locum tenens physician in Northern Virginia, and throughout Maryland. As a locums physician, in the ever-changing healthcare landscape, she provides important staffing assistance in a variety of settings, and frequently cares for patients in medically underserved areas that include hospitals, outpatient medical centers, and emergency departments. In any setting, she strives to make sure that her patients are well-cared for, and their families are comfortable and informed.
